Theoretical and experimental substantiation of the principles of construction of bottom survey sonars
The paper investigates the principles of constructing sonars for surveying the bottom situation. The issue of choosing the characteristics of side-scan sonar is considered in order to effectively solve the problems of surveying and searching for objects on the seabed. Possible options for applying methods to reduce the "dead zone" of a hydroacoustic device are considered. The issue of constructing the acoustic part of the sonar in order to increase the resolution is touched upon. A comparative analysis of the performance characteristics of hydroacoustic samples of domestic and foreign production is given.
