THE EXTERIOR MAGNETIC FIELDS INFLUENCE ON RESULTS OF CURRENT MEASUREMENTS BY ROGOWSKI COIL

The method of uncertainty estimation (assessment) of measuring current, associated with exterior conductor nearby the Rogowski coil are described. Relationships between the uncertainty and coil parameters and parameters of exterior conductor, are investigated. Results show that the measuring uncertainty increases with the decrease distance between conductors and essential, influence arise at the distance less than 5 diameters of measuring loop. Furthermore, it is found that the best form for Rogowski coil is wide plane strap (belt) as much as possible closely to conductor.
