COMPUTER MODELING APPLICATIONS IN THE PREPARATION PROCESS FOR OLYMPIAD ON «THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING»
In order to spot talented young students, build up their interest in the chosen profession, to rate their professional knowledge and skills, universities organize annual speсialized Olympiads. The present paper offers an algorithm of preparing students for such events using the course on basic electrotechnics as an example. In particular, analytical solutions of two high-level problems on electrical circuits theory are being discussed. Also, detailed solutions of problems on direct current and symmetric three-phase circuit in steady-state mode with two different loads are given. The cases of use the specialized software for students to control the obtained results is shown. The programs used are proprietary NI Multisim 14.1 and open-source Qucs.
