THE MODELING OF COMPRESSOR STATIONS PLACEMENT USING GIS

The article represents alternative ways of utilizing associated gases during oil production to reduce the environmental load. It's shown that using of compressor stations makes it possible to reduce emissions of pollutants and preserve economic resources to ensure the operation of gas processing plants, as well as to make the use of associated petroleum gas more accessible for the production of various chemicals. Various methods of interpolation and processing of raster data are investigated. Criteria are proposed and algorithms for finding the location of compressor stations and the optimal route of compressor plants are developed. In the development environment ArcGIS for Desktop implement a model for finding optimal locations for compressor stations on main criteria: distance from roads, the amount of energy consumed and the level of air pollution in a given area. Also a model for finding the optimal route for a compressor unit was created, which taking into account the geographic features of the area – relief and nature management zones. The results of modeling can be used to determine the zones of increased anthropogenic load during oil production.
