STUDYING ACOUSTICAL PARAMETERS OF HALLS USING HIGH-PERFORMANCE ACOUSTICAL FIELD SIMULATION SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

We review computer systems used to simulate acoustical fields in order to compute acoustical parameters of halls. In the paper we analyze efficiency of such well-known software as ODEON, EASE, CATT-Acoustic and CARA. Also, some commonly used methods of acoustical field calculation are observed. We also propose a mathematical model which was based on in order to implement a high-performance computing system CAMaaS used to simulate physical fields developed at the Far-Eastern Federal University. In order to verify adequacy and measure functional efficiency of the implementation, measurements of actual fields (reverberation time and levels of sound pressure) were conducted using certified tools for acoustical measurements and with respect to ISO 3382-1-2013. Those measurements, which took place in the hall «Krasniy» of the Far-Eastern Federal University, were compared with the results of simulations using CAMaaS in order to assert adequacy of the simulations. These results are presented in the paper.
