CURRENT AND TORQUE PULSATIONS OF MULTIPHASE PERMANENT-MAGNET MOTOR IN TERMS OF CONTROL ALGORITHMS

This paper presents a complex of system models provided with several voltage inverters and a multiphase permanent-magnet motor with nonsinusoidal electromotive forces (EMFs). Vector control of a motor along the dq axes and the phase axes is discussed herein. It has been established that, with the motor EMFs being distorted, regulation of the phase currents along the dq axes may cause an increase in the current and electromagnetic torque pulsations. The current regulation along the phase axes permits to reduce the pulsations. Moreover, provided are explanations for differences in the vector control algorithms.
