Multidisciplinary simulation of the KsVA 1800-170 condensate pump electric drive system for units 1 and 2 of the Ruppur NPP

The objective of this research is to develop and validate a dynamic mathematical model of a KsVA 1800-170 centrifugal condensation pump with a variable-frequency high-voltage asynchronous electric drive. This model is intended for studying transient processes in the condensate level maintenance system in the condenser of power units No. 1 and No. 2 of the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant (VVER-1200). The author's model of an asynchronous electric motor operating at a variable frequency is also developed. The multidisciplinary approach integrates the mathematical physics of nonlinear partial differential equations with ordinary differential and algebraic equations, discrete transformations, and software implementation to create a physically adequate simulation model, drawing on several disciplines: from automatic control theory to differential geometry and topology.
