Development of the educational and research complex «Artificial intelligence in control and protection systems and automation of electrical networks»

The article deals with the scientific problem of limitations in the use of artificial intelligence in relay protection. The works of domestic and foreign authors on this topic are considered. The authors supplemented the laboratory stand with physical models of the power supply system with a digital double, an artificial neural network and investigated the complex in order to get an answer to some questions about the use of a neural network in relay protection. It is shown that when working as part of current protection, an artificial neural network has high accuracy, but requires a strict risk assessment.
