Modeling of an electrical contact connection as part of an electrotechnical system using MatLab/Simulink software

This paper studies the process of modeling an electrical contact connection as an element of a common system – an electrical circuit – based on the study results on the parameters characterizing the state and quality of the electrical contact connection. The Simulink graphical programming software based on MatLab (The MathWorks, Inc.) is used to model and simulate the processes occurring in the system. This article aims to confirm theoretical calculations on the effect of the state of an electrical contact connection on the quality and efficiency parameters of the entire electrical system. The results obtained will help, first, to evaluate the contribution of the processes under study to the overall change in the state of the system; secondly, to justify the necessary accuracy of equipment for the implementation of a laboratory stand in order to practically confirm the results.
