NESTED LOOP CONTROL OF A BUCK CONVERTER WITH FEEDFORWARD CORRECTION USING OUTPUT VOLTAGE SIGNAL

Buck converters are commonly used in industry, electric vehicles, and renewable energy systems. However, most papers where control algorithms for such converters are considered are devoted to low-power systems operating in intermittent current mode. They are also devoted to methods based on complex mathematical descriptions that are sensitive to changes of parameters, without taking into account current limitation and the availability of external disturbances. This paper deal with a DC buck converter cascaded control system. The idea of development control algorithm was taken from the theory of electric drives control and implemented in a power supply for auxiliary needs used in underground trains. Mathematical modelling results of the converter modes with the proposed control system taking into account various disturbances and sensors inaccuracies has been obtained.
