MODELING OF CONTROLLED NATURAL GAS COMPRESSION PROCESSES. TRANSIENT MODES

A simplified model of compressor line dynamics is proposed, which implements a controlled technological process of natural gas compression. The compressor line is formed by a gas pumping unit and a network at its outlet. Modeling and iden-tification procedures are presented as a sequential increase in information about the cause-and-effect topology, structures of signal conversion blocks, object parameters, and the object's relationship to the environment. The influence of inertia and elasticity of the gas volume on transient processes in the compressor line is studied. The procedure for parametric identification of a nonlinear computer model of a compressor line based on archived data from a real compressor station is illustrated. Linearized models are used to make judgments about the stability, controllability, and observability properties of a compressor line.
