METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THE POWER CONSUMPTION OF AUTONOMOUS ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND ITS HARDWARE IMPLEMENTATION

A method providing accurate measurement of current and power consumption of battery-powered devices has been developed. This method is based on measuring the charge selected by the power supply circuits of the device being monitored, and allows accurate results to be obtained both in a wide range of average currents (average power) of the device consumption, and in cases where the consumption current profile is extremely uneven, and the instantaneous value of the consumption current changes by several orders of magnitude over extremely short time intervals. Based on this method, a device for evaluating the power consumption of autonomous electronic devices using standard serial electronic components has been developed. The instrument's software allows you to flexibly change the measurement parameters, allowing you to adapt to a wide range of tasks for evaluating the energy consumption of the devices being tested. The described device made it possible to configure the smart lock software with a complex energy consumption profile and achieve the stated service life of more than a year.
