PULSE OPERATION MODE OF PLATE TRANSDUCER WITH AMPLITUDE-PHASE EXCITATION OF FORMING ITS PIEZOPLATES

The results of calculations in the pulse mode of a wideband plate transducer, containing two piezo plates separated by a passive layer and excited by different electric voltages in amplitude and phase are considered. The character of the excitation and formation of the necessary electrical signals is based on the solution of the synthesis problem, when the relations between the electrical voltages necessary for their implementation are determined by the given uniform amplitude-frequency and linear phase-frequency characteristics of the radiation. The result of solving the synthesis problem is the ability to emit in a wide frequency band short (1–1.5 oscillation periods) acoustic pulses. The influence of the limited amplitude-frequency characteristic of the radiation on the frequencies of formation of short acoustic pulses and their compliance with the specified frequencies is estimated. The influence of the design parameters and the character of loading of the plate transducer on the type of excitation pulses applied to the piezo plates is analyzed.
