OPTIMIZATION OF PARAMETERS OF A CNC LATHE CUTTING PROCESS USING A GENETIC ALGORITHM
The optimization of machining parameters on a lathe and the use of artificial intelligence. Determining the optimal cutting parameters is important for economical machining and plays an important role in reducing machining errors and maintaining the stability of the machine tooling. To obtain greater efficiency and productivity of the machine, it is necessary to obtain optimal parameters of the cutting process. To find the optimal parameters of the cutting process, a genetic algorithm (GA) was used. Having analyzed the existing research methods, it was revealed that when predicting the shape and surface roughness of parts during machining, the use of GA is effective. The optimization of the parameters of the machining process for various cutting depths is considered. The optimal processing parameters (cutting depth, feed rate to improve surface roughness) are determined. The minimum cost of cutting was also obtained.
