ABOUT DISTRIBUTION OF MECHANICAL STRESSES AND ELASTIC DISPLACEMENTS IN ROD TRANSDUCERS WITH AMPLITUDE-PHASED EXCITATION

Various options for the construction and excitation of the rod transducers with amplitude-phase excitation (TAPE) in relation to the problem of distribution along their piezoelectric rod mechanical stresses and elastic displacements are considered. The analysis of the influence on the results of calculations of the distribution of elastic displacements and mechanical stresses of the geometry parameters and the character of the excitation of TAPE, which ensures the formation of a uniform amplitude-frequency and linear phase-frequency characteristics of radiation in the frontal direction in a wide frequency band, compensation of the rear radiation, increase in the radiation level, etc. On the example of TAPE, which provides a uniform amplitude-frequency and linear phase-frequency characteristics of radiation, the pulse mode of its operation is considered. It is shown that for the most practically interesting options of TAPE, the maximum values of mechanical stresses and elastic displacements do not exceed similar characteristics obtained during their common-mode excitation.
