THE EFFECT OF A RECTANGULAR SCREEN ON THE RADIATION OF AN ELEMENTARY ELECTRIC VIBRATOR

An approach based on a strict formulation, which allows to investigate the influence of a rectangular screen on the structure of the electromagnetic field generated by EEV, located perpendicular and parallel to the surface of the screen, is considered. The problem is solved numerically. A system of integro-differential equations is derived that is valid for an arbitrary primary field, which is reduced to a system of linear algebraic equations (SLAE) with complex coefficients. It is shown that the distribution of the surface current density on the screen is complex. The behavior of the surface current density near the angular points of a rectangular screen is investigated. It is shown that the order of singularity of the surface current density function depends on the direction of approach to the angular point. Comparisons with the calculations obtained in the approximation of physical optics (FO) for the density of surface currents and components of the electro-magnetic field in the far zone are made.
