ANALYSIS OF VOLTAGE SUPPLY SOURCE STRUCTURES WITH POWERFUL MULTUSTAGE DC-DC CONVERTERS ON IGBT MODULES

Structures of low-voltage supply sources with multistage DC-DC-converters on IGBT modules, chokes, input and output filters are considered. The models of systems were built, and the analysis of operation modes was performed. To provide required characteristics of a source under the no-load operating conditions and limitation of overvoltages in the transient mode, the structure of DC-DC converter was recommended, wherein energy transfer is performed not only from input to output, but also in the reverse direction. Application of protective circuits with choppers and resistors at the input and the output of a DC-DC converter is recommended. Furthermore, it is also reasonable to increase the carrier voltage frequency along with decreasing the inductances of chokes.
