STUDY OF THE MAGNETIC COUPLING OF TWO CLOSELY LOCATED INDUCTORS DURING HEATING OF STEEL BILLETS
The advantages of modular induction systems in problems of group heating with individual power posts are given. The magnetic coupling of two closely spaced spiral inductors is considered when heating a cylindrical part. A computer model has been developed that makes it possible to evaluate the magnetic coupling of inductors at their different locations, both relative to each other and relative to the workpiece itself. To quantify the degree of magnetic coupling, a dimensionless coupling coefficient is used. A comparison of the magnetic coupling of inductors with magnetic and nonmagnetic blanks is given. A direct dependence of the coupling coefficient on the scattering flux between the inductors and the workpiece is shown. The article describes several ways to reduce the magnetic coupling of inductors, which consist in using a counter-thread, a short-circuited coil and magnetic circuits of various geometries. Quantitative assessment of the decrease in magnetic coupling in the application of each of the above methods.
