ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT RANGE DATA LINKS FOR COMMAND, CONTROL AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH UNMANNED AIRCRAFT

The article analyzes data links providing command, control and communication with unmanned aircraft. Three types of links are considered: long, medium and short range. For the provision of long-range radio communication with the unmanned aircraft only satellite links are currently available. To provide medium- range links (for the range of direct radio visibility), it is recommended to use UHF and UHF bands that allow data transmitting at a high speed and exchange information with fast moving unmanned aircraft. At present, a large number of means of these ranges have been developed, both for military and civilian objectives. Short-range links are used to exchange information between the unmanned aircraft and the remote pilot station, as well as to exchange information between unmanned aircrafts. This type of links assumes high transmission speed: from tens of megabits to gigabits per second and allows to exchange photos and video information in real time. In addition to radio links, for infrared systems which do not interfere with radio.
