INFLUENCE OF NONRIGID CONTACT ON A SCATTERING ACOUSTIC FIELD GENERATED BY SOLID CYLINDRICAL INCLUSION

Diffraction of a plane ultrasonic wave incident normally to a cylindrical solid defect in a solid isotropic space are considered. In a sector at the boundary between the defect and the solid isotropic space there is nonrigid contact. Boundary conditions are given for a boundary with a rigid contact and for a boundary with a nonrigid contact. Finite element method is used. For the created model numerical values of material parameters, geometrical sizes of the considered area are presented. The boundary conditions and initial values, are described. The solution for various states of the defect-isotropic space boundary and for different sizes of the sector with a non-rigid bond, are given. The plots of the displacement amplitude of the scattered wave are plotted. It is shown that, for small size of the sector with broken adhesion, a plane ultrasonic wave «does not notice» a sector with a soft bond. As the size of the sector increases, various resonant phenomena appear.
