TESTING ON THE INITIAL SKILLS OF GEOMETRICAL MODELING IN THE KOMPAS-3D SYSTEM

In the study of engineering computer graphics (ICG) are using CAD-systems (Computer Aided Design – computer-supported design) and methods of preparation of design documentation on the basis of 3D modeling of these products. The effectiveness of mastering the basics of 3D-modeling can be improved by using the developed test tasks. Are considered the four test tasks to identify the level of knowledge and skills to create solid models of parts and simple assemblies. The content of the tasks is based on the analysis of the stages of solid modeling, in which novice users allow the maximum number of erroneous or far from optimal actions. The examples of implementing tests for rationality assessment with the use of Eduardo training courses Designer are shown: constructing parametric sketches, creating and editing 3D models of parts, modeling two-component Assembly units.
