RADIATION OF SHORT ACOUSTIC SIGNALS BY ROD TRANSDUCERS WITH PHASED EXCITATION OF THEIR TWO PARTS

This article presents the results of experimental researches of models of antennas, composed of the rod trans-ducers with amplitude and phase excitation of the two parts (sections) piezoelectric rod according to the deci-sion of a problem of synthesis. The implementation of such an excitation is carried out using a software-controlled excitation system and allows to form a nearly uniform amplitude-frequency characteristic of radiation and almost linear phase-frequency characteristic of the radiation in the bandwidth of about 2 octaves. The possi-bility of radiations in this frequency band of ultrashort impulses reconstructed on frequency and also the ability to control the phase-frequency characteristic of the radiation are shown. The possibility of radiations signals similar to the signals of cetaceans, by using the excitation system and the rod transducers with amplitude and phase excitation, is considered. The comparative estimation of calculated and experimental data is given. The possibility of maintaining the required radiation characteristics when changing the parameters of the passive plates and the loading of the radiation apertures of the transducers (antennas) is noted.
