A. S. POPOV'S ASSIGNMENT TO THE WORLD COLOMBIAN EXHIBITION IN CHICAGO

The article describes the World Colombian exhibition in Chicago held from May to October 1893, where A. S. Popov was sent on assignment. Special attention is given to the latest achievements made at that time in the field of electrical engineering. Under particular consideration are demonstrations presented by 46 foreign countries and 43 American states that showed scientific technical tendencies caused by a rapid growth of industry.
