ACCURACY OF PLAYING A TYPE WAVE FRONT SHAPE WITH A CONTROLLED FLEXIBLE MIRROR

Practical results of the investigation on the formation of the wave front are given by setting the Zernike coefficients of a certain amplitude for controllable flexible mirrors of the bimorph type. Designed for the circuit diagram and the experimental layout of the installation using the mirror KVF-50-32, the electronic control unit ESU-32-300 and the Shack-Hartmann wave front sensor DVP-70-530, which allows independently reproducing 13 individual Zernike polynomials. The RMS values of the wave front formed, pseudointerferograms of aberrations are obtained. The conducted investigations revealed the dependence of the final accuracy of the wave front generation on the technical characteristics of the components of the optical installation. Analysis of the results showed that the range of operating coefficients is characterized by the dynamic capabilities of the flexible mirror. When creating wave fronts of a given shape, the playback area was from –0.8 to 0.8 for all types of Zernike polynomials, the reproduction error and the generation accuracy under the given conditions amounted to about 2 %.
