MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING CONTRAST ENHANCEMENT BY NUCLEAR MAGNETIZATION TRANSFER METHOD
The review deals with theoretical aspects of methods of magnetic resonance imaging contrast enhancement based on nuclear magnetization transfer between systems containing free and bound molecules of water in molecular-cellular structures. Two different methods of observation of a nuclear magnetization transfer effects are compared: off resonance irradiation of being investigated object and resonance saturation by means of exposure to it especially organized series of radiofrequency pulses on resonance frequency of free water protons.
