NEW RUSSIAN SOURCES IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPANISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES OF AMERICA OF THE XIX-TH CENTURY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE XX TH CENTURY, THEIR ORIGIN, GEOGRAPHICAL LOCALIZATION AND DIVISION INTO PERIODS

The sources in the history of the Spanish-speaking countries of America containing in the reports of the Russian diplomatic and consular representatives in Rio de Janeiro, the only centre of their service to the from Rio Grande del Norte during almost the whole of the XIX-th century – never before explored the vast layer of information which is able to enrich considerably the documentary basis of the world study of Latin America. The article examines the questions concerning the origin of these sources, their geographical localization and division into periods.
