CONTROL FRONT MELT CRYSTALLIZATION WITH CONTINUOUS-SEQUENCE ZONE MELTING IN AN INDUCTION FURNACE WITH A COLD CRUCIBLE

Development of new technologies for spent nuclear waste, including the reprocessing of nuclear fuel for reuse in the fuel cycle, requires a lot of attention The analysis of developments showed the most suitable way in terms of economic, technological, environmental and other criteria – a way to clear it with the zone melting. Zone melting allows to receive necessary degree of purification, to obtain a crystalline product, provide continuous operation of the device not requiring periodic stops to remove impurities.
