HISTORY OF THE USSR MICROELECTRONICS BY MY EYES

It is given a brief description of an important period of development of microelectronics in the Soviet Union. The crucial role in development of microelectronics have been played by outstanding specialists F.G. Staros and I.V. Berg, who carried out guidance of the Special Design Bureau in Leningrad and played an important role in the formation of the center of microelectronics in Zelenograd. The successful development of the soviet microelectronics, which began in the 60's 70's, has been slowed in the 90's because of the unsolved problems of a high level industrial technology.
